Little Malop Street Vehicles Access Permits

From December 1, 2025, vehicle access to Little Malop Street (hospitality precinct) will be restricted during weekend nighttime hours.

Why Are These Changes Being Made?

Victoria Police and the City have been monitoring night-time activity in the precinct. To ensure the safety of patrons and allow emergency services to respond effectively, vehicle access into Little Malop Street (from Gheringhap Street) will be restricted during peak weekend hours.

Restricted Access Hours

Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
From 10pm to 5am

During these hours, only authorised vehicles and emergency service vehicles will be permitted to enter Little Malop Street from Gheringhap Street.

Drop-off and pick-up bays are located on Ryrie Street (near James Street) and Malop Street (near Dennys Place break-through).
