Bin issue / service
We provide a general rubbish, recycling and garden waste bin service to most households. Change your waste service or report an issue with your bins here.
Hard waste collection
Eligible residential properties have two hard waste and two mattress collections each financial year.
Illegal parking
A driver must not stop on a bicycle path, footpath, shared path or dividing strip, or a nature strip adjacent to a length of road in a built - up area.
Maintenance on public land
City of Greater Geelong (Council) is responsible for most parks, track and trails in the Greater Geelong area.
Dumped rubbish
We will remove litter/dumped rubbish or broken glass from parks, reserves, foreshores, playgrounds and public golf courses.
Tree issues
We are responsible for the inspection, maintenance or removal of all park and street trees including keeping our trees clear of all overhead powerlines and private service lines.
Noise issues
Noise can cause difficulties when you are going about your normal activities during the day or if you are trying to sleep.

Issues/requests reported by third parties
We receive requests via non-City of Greater Geelong forms and applications.
We cannot guarantee that requests received from third parties will be actioned where:
- The request is incorrectly addressed.
- The request does not contain complete or correct information; and/or
- The safety of the software application cannot be verified.
We are unable to notify you when these third-party requests can't be actioned and we encourage our customers to always report issues to the City directly via our contact form or call us on 03 5272 5272.
