City of Greater Geelong Reconciliation Action Plan

This engagement is open

Date: Wednesday, 1 May 2019 to Sunday, 9 June 2019

The City is developing its first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.

A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a tool to help build positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people. The purpose is to turn good intentions into action.

Reconciliation is about building relationships, commitment, respect and creating opportunities. A RAP will provide the City with a framework for the future that details the steps and priorities to achieve equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people.

The RAP will guide and direct the City's strategies and activities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people based on Community aspirations and priorities.
