Parks and reserves maintenance

We maintain all the parks, gardens, reserves and public open spaces across our municipality.
These range from high profile areas, small parks and reserves, to large open spaces areas such as Waurn Ponds Valley and Hovells Creek Reserve.

We provide our community with safe, clean and well maintained parks and reserves for enjoyment and recreation.

All parks, gardens, reserves and public spaces we manage are maintained to a safe and high standard.

Weed control chemicals

To ensure the safe application of weed control chemicals, our trained staff follow strict safety guidelines.

We do not supply the public with any form of chemicals.

Problem pests

We are responsible for the removal of pests in public open spaces such as footpaths, park, reserves, playgrounds and other places of gathering.

For further information regarding removal of pests please refer to pest removal on public land.

Wildlife removal

All matters relating to the removal of native wildlife (for example: snakes, magpies and plovers) in parks, reserves, playgrounds and public open spaces should be referred to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
