Spring is the time to celebrate biodiversity and this September and October we are hosting a number of activities to help you get better acquainted with the amazing natural wonders we have around Geelong.
Come along to one or more of our events and get a little bit closer to Geelong's spectacular wildlife.
Our region is home to world-class natural areas supporting a wide variety of interesting native vegetation and animals. Our local nature reserves, parkland and waterways provide important habitat for native species and help to cool our suburbs, absorb carbon dioxide, supply oxygen and give us beautiful places to explore.
Taking time to connect with nature and walking through our many wonderful green spaces provides great health and wellbeing benefits, so why not use the spring season as a reminder to get outdoors!
We have a number of activities running this September and October including guided walks, tree planting, forest therapy, bird watching and the launch of a beautiful new brochure - Nature Neighbours, where you can learn more about being a good neighbour to our nature reserves.
Details of our events can be viewed in our coming up section to the right of this page.
