Can we bring in free standing umbrellas in case of forecast rain?

No, they are a considerable hazard in the wind. Handheld umbrellas are permitted.

What happens if it rains?

As the Gardens do not have a large undercover area you will need to have an alternative venue arranged. If you are concerned about rain then you should consider booking the Bunya Lawn as it has a Cabman’s Shelter which could shelter the bridal party.

Some function centres have suitable areas that can be used for the service. No refund will be given if you cancel your wedding due to rain.

Storms or emergencies - In case of major storm events or other emergencies, we may close the Gardens for safety reasons. We will endeavour to notify you of the situation. Booked events will not be permitted on site during closures.
