St Leonards Nature Walk and Talk - Geelong Biodiversity Month

We've changed the date for this event from 15 September to 13 October as we think there will be more wildflowers flowering at this time which will make the experience more enjoyable. Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope all who have booked will still be able to attend.

Want to see amazing native wildflowers growing in the unlikeliest of locations?

Then come along on the walk and talk at McCarthy's Reserve in St Leonards. Not only will you have an eye-opening and tranquil experience, but you'll also learn about what makes the remnant vegetation at this reserve so unique and what you can do to help conserve it.

Attendees will receive a copy of our Nature Neighbours brochure which gives an overview of the many types of nature reserves we manage and what you can do to help them stay beautiful.

For those attending you should bring:

  • Weather appropriate clothing - that is: jacket if raining, hat if sunny etc.
  • Sturdy footwear able to negotiate uneven terrain
  • Long pants
  • Sunscreen
  • Water.

Where to meet: In the car park area adjacent the oval. Enter via Leviens Road.

RSVP online now. Closing date for reservations is 12:00pm on Thursday 10 October 2019.
