Works are well underway on the Drysdale Integrated Children’s Centre, which will open in 2020.
The new centre, located between High and Palmerston Streets, will offer kindergarten, day care, maternal and child health services and a toy library.
There is also a multi-purpose space, with opportunities to share facilities with the nearby Bellarine Community Health Centre.
With more and more young families calling Drysdale home, the centre will make it easier for them to access a range of children’s services under the one roof.
The $13.3 million centre has been funded by the City ($11.7 million) and the state government ($1.6 million).
The City has heavily invested in children’s services and community hubs in recent years, with centres also being built or upgraded in Armstrong Creek, Leopold, Highton and Corio.
