Integrated children’s centres provide access to a range of health, education, care and support services for children and their families.
For example: Maternal and Child Health, Kindergarten, Early Childhood services (Long Day Care, Occasional care and School Holiday Program), playgroups, toy libraries and community spaces.
Aims of the centres
The key aims of the centres are to:
- provide high quality, integrated services for children and families that improve children’s health, education and social outcomes
- provide services for children and families that respond to their changing needs and priorities
- respond to the needs of family and community in relation to cultural, ethnic and socio-economic diversity, valuing diversity as an important part of our community’s strength.
